Elder Gods Quest - Looks bland, but fine. Even though it was intermediate I had been hoping for something more raised than running around looking for a few crazy. Zammy pursuit - Sounds great. 200th pursuit - I really like how this looks. It's good that they wish to do something which isn't from one of the major storylines but at precisely the same time not do something entirely silly like RFD. It is reflective and hopefully is better than RFD. Barrows boots, anybody?
Tuska world event - that I like this also. Definitely will encourage bringing tuska to runescape although she will probably lose since the vast majority of runescape players are dumb and have some moral compass when it comes to make ridiculous decisions on a pc game. Clearly if it were real life we'd want to maintain a powerful and damaging being outside, but on a pc game it makes things interesting (and also we want a bandos replacement). Although I have no idea if our decisions will keep her out of this game. Ports - Still sad that Pirates items lost but t85 firearms is trendy. So the 200th quest as well as the wilderness things seem the best to me.
It is all Vs Tuska, my guess is that everyone will be forced to be a part of the same group against Tuska or form several different God teams that could compete against eachother (through PvP with some fortune and possibly in another non-PvP ways) for glory and prestige but the ultimate goal will stay beating Tuska.
That is the way I feel it is going to be or it could be hugely unfair considering it is going to be Gods + the Godless against staff Tuska.(The Old School RuneScape staff are thinking about an ironman mode too, which makes a whole lot of feel as ironman's popularity really climbed from the OSRS community. If you're an Old School player keep an eye on the OSRS dev sites and forums to join that conversation once it begins soon.) At this early stage, we'd love your comments and to get some dialogue going over the perfect ruleset for ironman. Here is an outline of the principles and game mechanics we're considering so far:
Ironman mode begins with a newly created personality. Once entered into the ironman mode, it cannot be switched off. When in ironman manner you: Cannot exchange with other players. Cannot pick up drops out of players. Can't pick up drops from monsters you haven't killed. Can't take part in multiplayer minigames. Cannot be impacted by group buffs (e.g. clan avatar). Cannot use other participant's POH providers (gilded altars, lecterns, etc). Cannot acquire equipment or resources from Treasure Hunter. Cannot be assisted or accept aid. Cannot purchase items in stores that were supplied by others. Can't join a Dungeoneering team (just solo permitted ). Cannot use the group system when it launches.
